[w1] post-execution, w/ noctis

[It's late into the evening, Tiara and Ao's bodies long since buried by now. Jason would like to say he doesn't feel ready vomit anymore, but that's one hell of a lie. With no convenient training dummies to beat up or assholes asking for an ass kicking, he turns towards the hotel to burn off excess energy.

He's in the process of contemplating the dartboard when he spots Noctis, so...]

... Noctis, right? Think you're up for a game of darts?

[His tone makes it clear this is less of a "lets have fun" thing, and more of a "can we stab holes in shit to cope with this together" thing. Help.]

[it makes two of them; noctis made himself scarce during the day and skipped the burial because he needed to calm his nerves and get away for a bit.

and while he's successfully done that enough to not just be moping around (the conviction he promised to tiara was a bit hard to find after watching her death), he's still not feeling great. not in the least.

but as he did back home, he wants to find a way to unwind. to get his handle on things again so they can carry forward. so really, being approached by jason with something he's already done quite a bit to unwind with in the past is absolutely a good idea.]

Man, feels like it's been ages since I've played a round. [the tone is met and received with the same in response—if there's any fun to be had, it'll come from actually being distracted for a minute or two.]

Real confident in your aim, huh?

[he'll willingly take the distraction, honestly. it makes things feel a little more comfortable and familiar. winding down from a long day and playing darts in a hotel?

yeah, he's done that before.

at least noct mostly catches the darts? mostly. one of them kind of stabs his palm in the catch, and there's a muted hiss that accompanies it. oops.

he'll switch hands for a moment so he can shake it off—definitely off to a good start here.]
